Moore Wilson's is a family business that was established back in 1918. It began life as a general wholesaler and has since grown into a specialist Cash and Carry Food Service warehouse where the Wellington region's cafes, restaurants, caterers and take-away food bars shop for their specialist bulk food needs. Also, through its Variety department, Moore Wilson's offer a wide range of food service kitchen tools and equipment including crockery, glassware, kitchenware, plasticware, small appliances, Manchester, cook books and luggage. In the 1990s, Moore Wilson's decided to add fresh food to its product range and opened Moore Wilson Fresh - and this award-winning store has since become a Wellington icon. Redeveloped and expanded a couple of years ago and also open to both the trade and householders, Moore Wilson Fresh has a simple promise - to offer food shoppers in the Wellington region, the best of everything fresh.

The Moore Wilson Fresh experience begins with a wide selection of fresh fruit and veggies, with emphasis given (wherever possible) to locally grown produce. The fresh food available includes fresh meat, fresh fish, fresh bread from local artisan bakers, free range eggs and local smallgoods and all the best local and New Zealand foods produced by New Zealand's exciting and fast-developing artisan food industry.

Moore Wilson's have four specialist food stores in the Wellington region (Wellington, Lower Hutt, Porirua and Masterton) offering the full Moore Wilson product range including Fresh. And supporting the fine foods, Moore Wilson's have specialist departments offering an extensive range of local and imported wines, beers and spirits (although spirits are not available at Porirua). Complementing the Moore Wilson regional coverage is a specialist Food Service Warehouse in Lower Hutt.
