Acclaimed director and film-maker Rob Sarkies is to host an inspiring kick-start to 2010 with a series of weekend workshops aimed at short, 48hr or digi-feature filmmakers looking to move into features.
We know that blind people hear things the sighted miss and the deaf are more attuned to the visual world around them. As filmmakers, we need to hone all our senses to be able to create work that subconsciously plays on the senses of our audience – allowing them to believe they can smell, feel and taste the world of our films when they can only see and hear.
An inspiring weekend that will help tune your senses as a filmmaker. Using practical examples and a series of original exercises we will explore ‘the five senses of filmmaking’ in a way that will help you make films that are unconsciously original because they reflect how you experience the world.
