This simple proposition has turned out to be a multi-million dollar export enterprise for the trio of young friends who got together in 1997 with the goal of turning their hobby into a career.

As the largest studio in New Zealand and 3rd largest in Australasia, Sidhe now employs around 100 staff . The video games industry is worth US$42 billion worldwide and growing at an average of 15% per annum. Sidhe’s revenue is almost exclusively export and foreign exchange driven, with 98 – 99% of turnover coming from offshore.

Currently specialising in two game genres – action racing and sport games,  Sidhe  have a ready and waiting global audience.

One of the new games is Rugby Challenge for console and PC  which has been  developed by Sidhe and published by Sydney based Home Entertainment Suppliers (HES) under their Tru Blu Games label.  The rugby union based title seeks to capture the attention of a growing number of rugby fans around the world.

Rugby Challenge will include the All Blacks, Wallabies, ITM Cup, and Super Rugby amongst other licensed teams and competitions, and will feature multiplayer online play, a multi-year franchise mode, extensive customisation options, and dynamic real-time commentary. 

Rugby Challenge will release for console and PC in time for the rugby world cup.
